How to prevent coronavirus (COVID-19) infection?
- Rinse mouth and throat with lukewarm water with salt, lemon, and soda
- Stay away from people who are coughing or sneezing
- Wear a mask
- Get a good rest
- Wash dishes and flatwares properly with hot water
- Wash hands properly with soap
- Be calm and stress-free
- Wear gloves when going out
- Drink warm liquids frequently and use cups with lids
- Do not travel to the affected area, and if you do, observe yourself at home for 14 days.
- Do not use elevators on floors 1-5
- Avoid dealing with cash as much as possible
- Do not go to crowded places
- Do not spit
- Avoid shaking hands or kissing others
- Do not touch eyes, mouth or nose
Who should isolate himself/herself and how?
If you have traveled to an infected country, isolate and observe yourself for 14 days.
Family members of suspected persons should isolate themselves until a test result is obtained. Isolation includes:
- Don’t leave home
- Do not invite a guest to your home
- Be separate from each other
- Wear a mask
- Wash hands properly with soap
- Everyone should use separate cups, plates and face towels
- Ventilate and do wet cleaning in your home
- Eat nutritious food
- Get a good rest
- Be calm and stress-free
- Check your body temperature twice a day
- Do exercises
What should organizations pay attention to?
- Check employees’ body temperature every morning and if they show signs of illness return to the home
- Do not send employees for a business trip to affected areas
- Digitalize services, avoid crowding
- Receive feedback and requests by phone or electronically
- Keep meeting short with few people
- Ventilate the air in the room during the meeting
- Properly clean hard surfaces such as floors, tables, and chairs after the meetings
- Keep an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
- Clean the microphone with an alcohol-based solution or use a disposable bag
- Properly clean elevator buttons, escalators and stair rails, doorknobs, computers, and telephones at least twice a day
- Provide hot curd, seabuckthorn, water with hone and tea to employees
- Plan canteen serving queue and serve a small number of employees at one time
- Avoid workplace stress
- Support workers and their families in providing masks
- Keep soap, disinfectant, and paper towels in the restroom
- Wet clean the restroom at least 4 times a day
- Place clear prevention recommendations at the office
